Where We Come From
After returning from World War I as a decorated veteran, Roy Parr settled back in Saskatchewan, farming and operating a custom threshing crew. From those roots, he moved into building, moving, and straightening barns all over the province of Saskatchewan. When his sons, Art and Howard, were able, they joined their dad on the construction and moving crews.
Art took over the business from Roy in the early 50s and was well-known throughout the province for his ingenuity and skill as a builder, mover, and contractor. In the 70s, Art’s sons, Jeff and Dan, worked alongside their father, learning the skills Art had acquired over his years in the business, as well as those passed on to him from his father, Roy.
Hoisting, rigging, moving, constructing, fabricating, and hydraulics are all part of the skills passed down through the generations. You could say it is in our blood.
Changing and adapting to customers needs through the years
Today the business Parr Industrial is operated by Dan and his son Delaney, and has developed into a premier millwright company well known in the province of Saskatchewan for achieving very high standards in workmanship and safety.
Rigging, hoisting, setting, equipment rebuilds, laser alignments, vibration monitoring, pump service and sales, conveyor service and sales, fan service and sales, equipment relocation, plant shutdown maintenance, welding and fabricating are just a few of the things we do on a regular basis.
